How to beat Eden’s Promise: Umbra (Normal) in Final Fantasy XIV

Patch 5.4 brings a normal and violent version of Eden’s promise: Umbra fights for the Fantasy XIV final. After unlocking the raids of the Oath of Eden you will come across a regular version of the Cloud of Darkness. Some of the mechanisms in the wild version of the fight are similar to normal mode, so this is a good place to practice.

We will break down the mechanics of each battle one by one using texts and screenshots. In the screenshots our character is confused with the shooter, but we will certainly explain the mechanics of all the roles: Healers, tanks and DPS. With a little practice and practice you are well on your way to unlock the normal version of Eden’s promise: Umbra.

Black cloud

Bottom particle bundle: Damage to the AoE throughout the room. Get better.

The art of darkness: The ball on one side of the boss shines red and white. The boss is going to make a big 180 degree attack on that light side. Go to the other side to prevent an attack.

Wide-angle particle beam : The boss will turn to any player and make a big cone attack. Move away from the cone to avoid it.

Zero particle beam: Tank Buster on main target. Use your defense refrigerators.

It’s an empty plane: More AoE damage in the whole room. Get better. At this stage, the pattern also changes the appearance of the platform by laying the floor in a row of tiles.

The flow of the vacuum: The boss will destroy the orange glowing tiles, so don’t stay in these areas during or after the attack. Everyone has an excuse to condense their clothes. This debate will eventually make the tiles underneath you dangerous. If you stand on a tile, you can safely stay on it when it is normally lit. If the tile turns purple, leave to reset the timer. Make room for the members of your party and avoid staying too long on a record.

Jane Doe Woods: More AoE damage in the whole room. The boss changes arenas again, this time in the cloud forest.

Flooding the darkness: Boss’s backsliding effect. At the same time, eight AoE circles appear along the edges of the platform. Use your immunity to bribery (cloudy or at arm’s length) or avoid bribery in a circle. They can fall completely off the platform, so be careful.

After the last attack, eight turns of AoE are transformed into blackberry patches and attached to the player standing next to them. After a while, lichens turn into thorns that need to be broken. Break the vines and walk away from your blackberry bed. A break only occurs if you have traveled a certain distance, not according to the distance or the proximity of the blackberry bush. It’s a good idea to stay close to your property like a vine, just to stay organized.

Wide-angle stages : The boss ties the tentacles on one side of the arena. Follow the tentacles to the edge of the platform, to the side. The boss is then teleported closer to the other side and fires a massive frontal shot at all those who have not yet reached the sides of the platform. Come back as soon as it explodes.

Rejuvenation balm : The boss sent two purple maggots to both sides of the arena. After a while, two large dots appear on the servo pages. Go north or south from the sides of the rope and squeeze between the patch bands on the ground for your safe places.

The tide of darkness: Serious damage during a robbery. Preventive protection and healing.

particle concentration : Four circles of meteorites appear on the platform around the boss. Allow at least one player to stand up each turn to absorb the meteors. All unattended circuits will explode if severely damaged.

The art of darkness: When the meteors calm down, the ball lights up on one side of the boss. Treat each other like you used to. If you end up in a meteorite circle, first absorb the damage and then, if necessary, avoid this mechanic. You can just go through your boss to avoid a wide angle.

It’s an empty plane: Just like before, more AoE damage in the whole room. Get better. The tile will reappear on the floor. Treat them the same.

Condensation overload : At the ends of the platform two dark clouds will appear, linked to the boss. The clouds slowly move towards the boss and cause her problems when they reach her. When he’s in the clouds, he slows them down with a heavy debacle. Players will have to be very careful how they adhere to the tiles, destroying the clouds.

The amount: Two inappropriate green additions to Clouds of Shadow appear around the platform. These additions will drop the AoE’s line of attack in the direction it goes.

Anti-aircraft particle beam: When the dark cloud adds shots from his AoE line, the boss creates a large AoE at a short distance around him. Watch your footsteps on the game pieces as you dodge the AoE line of the two addons and a huge circle in front of the boss.

Jane Doe Woods: Repair AoE damage in the entire room when the platform returns to the forest. Follow the same pattern as the KO by breaking the lichen and avoiding a wide angle attack.

Rejuvenation balm : As before, the boss will send two purple larvae to each side of the arena. After a while, two large dots appear on the servo pages. But this time she will combine this step with the art of darkness. Go north or south from the sides of the rope and squeeze even tighter between the bracelet and the side of the safe to attack the large half of the room.

There is no error timer like the DPS control in normal mode, so do your best to stay alive and keep up. All mechanics rehearse until you beat the boss. Open the treasure chests and drive for rewards.
