You’ve probably played eight-ball pool or at least watched people play, because it’s the most popular pool game. Don’t be fooled by the name of the game. Eight-ball billiards doesn’t play with eight balls. Instead, 15 balls come into play, consisting of hard balls (1-8) and striped balls (9-15). 9-ball billiard table
9-point billiards is played with 9 balls, there is no confusion! The balls numbered 1 to 9 are used and the main purpose is to put the 9-ball in the bag. Because there are less balls in this game, a diamond grid is preferred. But if you don’t have a diamond bar, you can use the triangle after a little practice. With a few exceptions, the training is almost the same as for the eight balls:
- Place the 9-ball in the middle of the shelf.
- 1 ball touches the tip
- The remaining balls can easily be placed in random order.
To form this triangle, you will need to squeeze the balls with your hands to make sure the rack is firm and perfect.

How to build a direct pool in rack
Direct pool is also called continuous pool 14.1 because it is played continuously until a predetermined number of points is reached. In official matches the score is 125 or 150, and the player with the first score wins the game.
