Cyberpunk 2077 – Lag, FPS Drops and Stuttering Fix

Cyberpunk 2077 stuttering, delay, fps drops – In this guide, you will learn how to correct delay, fps drops and stuttering problems in the Cyberpunk 2077 computer.

How to correct offset, SPF troughs and stuttering in Cyberpunk 2077

It is clear that Cyberpunk 2077 is an AAA title, and most of this year’s AAA releases were not without problems. Most of them had terrible performance problems when they started. Users have complained of delays, fps crashes and stuttering. Well, cyberpunk’s no different. In the PC version of Cyberpunk 2077, gamers experience problems such as lag, fps crashes and stuttering. This guide consists of a list of errors and how to correct them.

Before diving into the guide, check the minimum and recommended requirements of Cyberpunk 2077. And download drivers optimized for Cyberpunk 2077. From there you can check the system requirements. Nvidia users can download the latest drivers here or via GeForce Experience. AMD users can download the latest drivers here.

Delay drops and SPF patch

Cyberpunk 2077 is too late for some users, while others experience an occasional fps drop. Here’s what you can do about it.

Nvidia control panel for Cyberpunk

Try adjusting the graphics card’s control panel. Nvidia users will open the Nvidia control panel > click the View Settings button under 3D Settings on the left side and make sure the Use Advanced 3D Settings option is selected. Now select Manage 3D Settings in the left pane and click on the Program Settings tab. Find Cyberpunk 2077 in the drop-down menu under Choose a program to customize. Once you have successfully added a game, you will see the program settings become playable. Now make the following settings:
Wire optimization : A
Energy management : Preference for maximum performance
Low latency mode : Get the hell out of here.
Vertical synchronization : Texture Filtration
– Quality : Power

AMD control panel settings for each card

Right click on your desktop and select AMD Radeon software. Go to the Games tab and click on Global Graphics. Define your graphic profile in eSport. Now make the following settings:

  • Radeon Anti-Lag: Disabled
  • Radeon cooling: Disabled
  • Hurry up: Disabled
  • Image enhancement : Disabled
  • Advanced synchronization : Disabled
  • Vertical update : Always off

Now click on the Advanced button. Configure the following settings :

  • Against smoothing: Claim parameters
  • Smoothing method : Multiple example
  • Morphological smoothing : Disabled
  • Anisotropic filtering : Disabled
  • Qualitative texture filtration : Power
  • Optimisation of the surface format : Including
  • Tessellation mode : Cancel application settings
  • Maximum level of tessellation : From
  • Triple OpenGL Buffering : Disabled
  • GPU workload : Graph

Now reset the shader cache by clicking Reset Performance at the bottom of the list.

Modification of the parameters of the set

It is possible that there are no problems in the game. And the discrepancy is due to the fact that the graphic parameters of the game are too high. In this case, follow my guide to setting up Cyberpunk 2077 graphics. I tested the game on a GTX 1650.

Electricity management plans

Set the power management settings to high power. Press Windows+R > Typepowercfg.cplat the startup prompt, then clickEnter > Expand the View Additional Plans drop-down menu and select High Power > If there are no high power plans available, Click the Create Power Plan button on the left > Select High Power, name your plan and click Next > Set the two drop-down menus of this menu to Never, and then click Create.

Hardware Accelerated GPU programming

If you have the latest version of Windows 10 (2004), you need to use a brand new feature called gpu hardware acceleration planning. If you have a decent graphics card, you can use it. That’s how you turn it on:

  1. Type the graph in the Windows search bar
  2. Click on the first result that appears
  3. You are in the graphical settings menu of Windows
  4. Enabling hardware acceleration Programming the ground power unit
  5. Reboot your computer

Graphic performance preference

The Graphics Settings menu offers another amazing feature that allows you to customize graphics performance settings for a particular application. Here’s how:

  • Select an application to set it up as a desktop application.
  • Navigate to the Cyberpunk 2077 installation directory
  • Select the .exe file or the executable file.
  • After adding the .exe file, click on the Options button.
  • Opting for high performance
  • Reboot your computer

Stuttering Fixator

Cyberpunk 2077 stutters for some users. Here’s what you can do about it.

Stop resource-intensive applications in the background

If you have heavy applications running in the background, it is likely that the delay you get in Cyberpunk is due to the fact that some applications consume a lot of resources. Just open Task Manager, click on the Process tab, and then click CPU. Make sure the arrow next to it points down. The resource-intensive applications have a head start. Look for processes that you don’t need, but that consume a lot of CPU. Right-click and click Finish Task.

Permanently removing temporary files from the system

If a lot of unnecessary files have accumulated in your system’s temp folder, this may slow down your computer. Turn them all off.

  • Go to the Start menu on the desktop.
  • Press the Windows key and the letter R at the same time.
  • Type %TEMP% and press Enter.
  • Select All (Edit > Select All or Ctrl+A).
  • Press the Delete key

Game Features Windows 10

Microsoft has recently added many game programs to Windows 10 that run constantly in the background and consume a lot of resources without users noticing it.

In the background. Turn it off by going to the game settings, which are located in the Windows settings menu. On the left side should be something called handles. Click on it and turn off the background recording function.

The Xbox game panel is another function that should be disabled. Go to Windows Settings > Games > Xbox Game Console. Turn them off.

Finally, the game mode is a real success or failure. In some games this feature is useful, and in others it causes performance problems. It is therefore preferable to turn them off. Here you can learn how to disable game mode. Open the Windows 10 settings menu > Click on Games > Select Game Mode in the left sidebar > Turn it off > Restart the game installation.

Overlays

Deactivate any overlaps you currently have. Overlays of applications such as Discord, Nvidia GeForce Experience, Steam, etc. are known to cause problems in games. Then take them out of service.

Best Practice

Disable Microsoft Software Protection Platform Service

Pay attention: This is an advanced method because it involves changes to the Windows registry. [Don’t try to do it if you don’t have enough knowledge]

It’s a step I don’t usually recommend. But if none of the above helped you, I think you can try this. Many Windows users may not know this, but there is a service called Microsoft Software Protection Platform Service or (sppsvc.exe). Personally, I have a dual monitor, and while looking at Task Manager (which runs on the second screen, of course), I noticed that a service called Microsoft Software Protection Platform Service keeps appearing and starts consuming a good percentage of the CPU and memory. This actually causes a stutter when the FPS falls into heavy components.

To disable SPPSVC

So just open the Windows Task Manager and see if the process called Microsoft Software Protection Platform Service appears in the list. If this is the case, it should be temporarily suspended to prevent the COD MW 2 stuttering. A simple click on the End Task button does nothing, as the process returns after a few seconds. So here’s what you need to do:

  1. Press the Windows+R key on the keyboard
  2. Type regedit and press Enter to open the Windows registry editor.
  3. Now go to this place: HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINESYSTEMCurrentControlSetServicessppsvc
  4. On the right you will see some options.
  5. Double-click Start and change the value to 2-4
  6. Reboot your computer

Pay attention: This will disable the Microsoft Software Protection Platform service, but you will not be able to use other Microsoft Windows applications such as Microsoft Word, Microsoft PowerPoint, etc. You will also receive a message that your windows are not enabled on the desktop. When you have finished playing, reduce the start value to 2. Everything will be back to normal.

I advise you to visit the official forums of Cyberpunk 2077. You will find many actors discussing the same topics.
