As any Sims player knows, keeping your Sims happy is an important part of the game. Whether that means building a successful career, finding love or a fulfilling social life, it’s important to take care of your Sims’ emotional needs. However, it might be difficult to find the time to properly care for your Sims’ mental states.
The Sims 4 Zen Garden & Sand Garden CC is a set of two new lots made by a talented duo of creators. The creator’s daughter (who is a big Sims fan) suggested that they make some new Zen Garden themed lots, and thus the set was born. I love this idea, since Sims love to garden, and it’s nice to see an addition to the game in the way of lots. While they don’t really do anything extra, they are a nice addition.
The Zen garden is one of the new gardening options in the Sims 4 Get Together Expansion. It is a meditation garden, meant to get your sim to focus on the zen of their surroundings, and find peace of mind in the garden. The sand garden is another new gardening option, this time in the City Living Expansion. It is a whimsical garden, meant to bring your sims the joy of playing in the sand, and the low tech beauty of living in a desert village.. Almost every day is a chore: trying to make enough money to pay the bills, while struggling to feed yourself, sleep, and rest. I’m sure that’s important to you, isn’t it? Fortunately, it’s much easier to create a quiet and peaceful space in The Sims than in real life. With all these great CCs, your Sims will have enough to create a zen garden – inside and out!
1. Zen Garden Sand Floor Tile
Check out this AC. If you want to create your own interactive zen garden for your Sims (in their yard or in the park), this CC is the first step. Of course there are paints for sandy soils. But none of them were like that. These floor tiles are supplied pre-flattened, so the subfloor is clean and attractive immediately after laying. It also comes in a five panel format, which is perfect for any garden.
2. Japanese rock garden
Check out this AC. The rules surrounding these rock gardens are quite extensive. At first glance, all you need is water, stones and sand. But there are still many ways to extend these concepts, as this batch from SimValera proves. This designer was clearly inspired by the country of origin of the Zen garden. You can even see Japanese architecture and decor in this beautiful little park. Even the trees are a nod to the beautiful nature of the country. Stone statues, fountains and sandy paths are the perfect way to make peace and quiet accessible to all.
3. TS2 – TS4 Zen garden as doll house
Check out this AC. Kids need rest too, don’t they? Maybe it would at least help her parents. With this Sims 2 CC conversion, Sims 4 kids can have their own little Zen garden. It works like a dollhouse and you can even play in it. It seems appropriate. Most kids probably won’t be interested in raking sand or decorating a bed with it. But to play it? Hell, yes! Basically, it’s the sandbox we family gamers have been dreaming of for years, with a nice Zen touch.
4. Sand (sediment)
Check out this AC. Here are some other ways to dress up your Sims’ sandboxes. This CC set includes six different sand floor designs in all colors and textures. From the white sands of the Atlantic beaches to the dark sands of the lakes, the possibilities are many. They are also available in flat and corrugated versions. It’s up to you to decide if you want a pristine view or sand that looks like it’s been through a lot.
5. Zen ornamental garden
Check out this AC. If you’re not so much looking for a project as a decorative interior piece, this little piece from CC kardofe is for you. It’s a little Zen table garden with rakes, stones and candles. Your Sims are sure to enjoy it in their living room, bedroom, office – and maybe even in the laundry room. The whole house needs a little rest, doesn’t it?
6. Functional water pump and jugdock
Check out this AC. I know that Zen gardens are traditionally part of Japanese culture. But the beauty of The Sims is that you can have a little nervous breakdown. Sometimes it’s even necessary to get the right look. And this stuff from OhMySims fits perfectly in your garden. Everyone knows how relaxing water is. What better way to incorporate this into the Sims than with a working water pump? After a day of tending to the beautiful plants and sand, your Sims won’t have to leave the sacred outdoors to wash their hands. There are a few candles in here too – mostly road candles. They come in different sizes, and one of them even features several water lilies, like the most charming miniature pond in the world.
7. Bird baths + effects on birds
Check out this AC. Some may disagree, but for me there is nothing more relaxing than admiring the wildlife. And you don’t have to go to the zoo for that (not in The Sims… yet). With a custom birdbath, your Sims can finally enjoy the beauty of nature in their backyard. And now this object is no longer a statue that will never see a feathered friend again. Thanks to Bakie, it’s now animated! Once settled, you’ll have a blue jay and an American golden sea urchin on your back, pecking at the water.
8. Edith Garden Clutter
Check out this AC. Once your sand garden is set up, your Sims will need a place to sit and enjoy it. There are, of course, some banks already in play. But it’s always nice to have a few things you can’t find in a public park. The included hanging chair is a dream for lovers of zen in the open air. Put them under a tree so they can really immerse themselves in nature. This CC set also includes some messy decorative elements, so you can even have an unfinished Zen garden if you wish. The compost bags show that there is work to be done!
9. Tree bench
Check out this AC. This bench is another great way to incorporate seating into the garden itself. It’s just a round chair that goes around a tree so your Sims are surrounded by nature on all sides. This is also a translated element of The Sims 2. In 2004, people were still very zen. These beautiful examples of shabby wood will fit into any rough outdoor space, and the stained options give them a more sophisticated look.
10. Fountain for llamas
Check out this AC. Given the enduring love of llamas in this franchise, it wouldn’t make sense not to have a llama fountain. I think it’s a good way to keep the game light and add a story. Over the past three games, these creatures have become popular characters time and time again. This large fountain is an excellent addition to your Zen or sand garden, whether on land or in water. That’s right, it works for both! So feel free to spend money on outdoor plants and ponds, and the centerpiece will be this CC.The Sims 4 is the fourth installment in the life simulation video game series The Sims .
