James GordanWhile a release date is yet to be confirmed, the developers have issued a statement committing to releasing the game in time for the launch date of the next generation of gaming consoles. While they haven’t made a big announcement about the game, it can be seen at the bottom of the PS5 announcement titled New Worlds to Explore.
A game that has been around for almost 20 years, the legendary game known as Ratchet and Clank. Fortunately for all the great fans of this game, the developers at Insomniac have announced that the latest adventure will be called Ratchet and Clank: Malfunction sideways.
This exclusive game on PS5 will be an adventure like you’ve never seen before. With dimensional twists not found on any previous PlayStation hardware. For those returning to the world of Ratchet and Clank, don’t worry, all your favorite passages will still be there, and it certainly won’t lose its nostalgic charm. It will only be available in improved graphics and with a much more efficient and simple gameplay.
The game revolves around the lives of famous people we’ve all learned to love. They face the grueling task of fighting an evil nemesis that clings to the power to destroy dimensions with its dimensional weapon. Unfortunately, our heroes don’t arrive in time and some of the damage has already been done. The fabric of space-time has been damaged, and to save the universe, they must gather all the firepower they can to destroy this higher power.
There will also be new faces. A mysterious new female character known as Lombax appears from another dimension after an evil emperor, and you can play her part during part of the game. By opening up the map to include multiple dimensions and universes, the developers have created a visual experience that will blow your mind and be a visual treat for anyone lucky enough to play the game.
For those lucky enough to get their hands on the elusive PS5, Ratchet and Clank comes with a DualSense controller on hand: Rift Apart will be launched in 2021.
Insomniac has done what they do best: make a game that plays to their strengths. The weapons available in this world are monstrous, with inventions we can’t even dream of. Games like the Resistance trilogy, Sunset Overdrive, and Marvel’s Spider-Man don’t even come close to the insane movement mechanics of this game.
The creators of Ratchet and Clank are having fun adapting the game to the latest PS5 exclusive title. With all the new tools offered by the console and the latest DualSense controller, this game aims to take you on the journey of a lifetime. PlayStation has really given them all the tools they need to make a great game with the best unique and exotic weapons, customizable adaptive triggers to match your controller, advanced visual effects and most importantly a great visual show.
Of course there will be all the original weapons from the past that we all know and love, but we only need to mention a few of the newer ones that will be appearing on your screens in the near future that will definitely steal the show and surpass all the old ones. First, the legendary Shatterbomb, an improved version of the original fusion grenade that delivers a powerful shot to anyone it hits. Then there’s the topiary sprinkler, which has come a long way since it was known as Going Commando’s Miniturret Gauntlet from Ratchet and Clank. He shoots ice shots, freezes everyone in place and keeps everyone in place with his powerful spins. A dual weapon that takes full advantage of the new PS5 technology is the Burst Pistol and the Enforcer Shotgun.
So, if you ask us, the new Ratchet and Clank: Rift Apart is the perfect game to try on the PS5. It will take full advantage of all the new features and really showcase everything the new console has to offer. All we can do now is wait patiently for a sign, or even a hint, of when this new game will be released.
