How to fix the second Dimensional Anomaly in Ratchet and Clank: Rift Apart

While playing Ratchet and Clank: A Crack in Time, we observed some oddities in the game’s second dimension. First, in the level “Rust Bucket”, the map in the second dimension was rotated, leading to a host of issues with navigation and shooting. Second, when viewing the game from the second dimension, players noticed the camera was inverted. These anomalies are caused by a bug in the second dimension, and we will explain how it causes these problems.

When Ratchet and Clank: R&C:O was released, something felt off. There were many subtle things that didn’t quite work properly – things that you would expect the developers to know and handle. Neither Ratchet nor Rivet can enter these dimensional changes, and only Clank can go in and talk to Gary. During this time, you must solve a series of physical puzzles to eliminate the anomaly. First puzzle

When you enter the space anomaly on Blizar Prime, you’ll notice the Clank Opportunity moving forward and being pushed into another orbit by a fan that destroys it. Destroy the crates here to get bolts, then run to the left side where there is a large pile of crates. Shoot at these crates to pick up a new light blue orb, the Heavy Orb. Grab the sphere and throw it at the saw blade in front of you to lower it and destroy the objects blocking your path. Second puzzle

When you get to the second puzzle, destroy all the boxes you see. Jump on the right platform that goes up and down and pick up the lifting ball at the top. Turn around with this object and throw it into the floor panel to the left of the start of the treadmill. Use this ball to fly up and catch the heavy ball. Screenshot After catching the heavy ball, pick up the lifting ball and return to the platform where you picked up the ball. Throw the rising ball into the right platform, which falls to make it rise, and the gravity ball into the left platform, which continues to rise to make it fall. Jump on the left platform to catch the ball quickly. Screenshot Pick up all the balls and go back to the treadmill. For the picks, first place Speed Shere with Lift Sphere in the slot at the end. Third puzzle

The third and final puzzle game has many more fans this time around. Remember, the direction they are moving, the Opportunity is their new path (unless they are affected by a Heavy Sphere). Be careful when walking in the wind yourself. You can jump and wade through it, but it can still get you killed. First run along the windy path and pick up the heavy ball in the middle. Then continue down the road until you come across saw blades. Throw a heavy ball to get a lifting ball. Jump over the knives twice to pick up the heavy ball. Screenshot Turn away from the blades and you’ll see a platform crashing to the ground. Use the lift ball to pick him up and get a speedball. Get your lift ball back. Screenshot Now return to the beginning of the treadmill for the final step. Throw a lifting ball into the first slot to lift your options over the fan and away from the track. You hit a fan. It’s a 2D platformer that was originally developed for the PlayStation Portable and PlayStation 3. The game has a great cast of characters including Ratchet, Clank, Captain Qwark, and Dr. Nefarious. Ratchet & Clank: Nexus was released last year and fixed many of the problems I had with the first game. I’m looking forward to playing this game and I’m also looking forward to a complete overhaul/re-release of Ratchet & Clank: Worlds Unite on all the PlayStation platforms..
