Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles

Tribute Games is developing a new Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles game called TMNT: Schroeder’s Revenge, which is based on the 1989 and 1991 TMNT films: Turtles in Time arcade titles. French publisher Dotemu revealed the news in a press release issued today, confirming that the game will be released on both PC and consoles. Like its classic predecessors, the revamped Bit’em will feature gorgeous 2D pixel graphics and allow a group of four players to take on the Shredder and his clan of legs.

Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Schroeder’s Revenge reunites Leonardo, Raphael, Michelangelo and Donatello to kick off the shield in the beautifully realized world of pixel art, referencing the classic turtle design from 1987, according to the press release. Today’s trailer shows the heroes perfectly in a semi-rocker as they jump and stomp their way through Manhattan to the beat of their signature anthem, sung by Mike Patton of Faith No More.

While Bebop and Rocksteady gather gadgets to support Krang and Shredder’s latest plan, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: In Shredder’s Revenge, the Turtles take on each other in a breathtaking tour of the TMNT’s iconic locations to foil the evil plan of their sworn enemies. Armed with shocking new abilities based on classic Brawl mechanics, the gang embark on a thrilling journey that will take them through the sewers and bustling neighborhoods of New York City to Dimension X.

DotEmu has not yet announced a release date for Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Shredder’s Revenge isn’t finished yet, but fans can keep an eye on the game by bookmarking the official site and adding it to their wishlist on Steam.
