The very first game in the Fire Emblem series, released on the Famicom (Japanese NES) in 1990, never reached our latitudes. So far! The emblem of fire: Shadow Dragon and Light Knife were finally located after all these years. The game will be played on the 4th. Press release dated December 2020 for Switch. It costs $5.99 in the online store and has some quality of life issues, like rewind and memory.
There is also a physical edition that will be available in some stores. The word physical is in quotes because the game is still an online store code, but there are many other physical benefits like the art book and poster. This version costs $49.99. The game will only be available until the 31st. March 2021 will be available, as Nintendo will go bankrupt by then.
Okay, they’re not going bankrupt, but it’s weird that they’re limiting the availability of the game again. Super Mario Bros. 35 and Super Mario 3D All-Stars will also be released before that date. Who would have thought that FOMO (fear of missing out) would mutate from simple online gaming to buying real world games. I think it worked for Disney in the 90’s with their locker? Maybe? Summary: If you want a game, you have to buy it before it disappears.
