The Razer Viper Mini may have been originally designed as a more affordable version of the Viper, but frankly it is one of my favorite competitive options in today’s market. The two-handed design of the Viper Mini 61g allows for quick sliding and operation is much easier. It moves smoothly on all surfaces and its weight just makes it feel absolutely perfect.

Size can be a problem for some people. I don’t recommend buying a mini version of the Viper if you think your hands are at the end of their rope, but the design is still very good for small and medium sized hands. It’s not ideal to hold the palm of your hand, but it works well if you use a fingertip or claw grip.

In terms of performance, the optical sensor is accurate, fast and reliable. Although I was surprised that it doesn’t have Focus+, I have to admit that I was pleasantly surprised by the mini-sensor. It doesn’t offer the same ridiculous peak setting as the Focus+ sensor, but frankly no one needs 20,000 DPI.

Designs: Light as a spring, fast as a viper

The Razer Viper Mini has a totally ambitious design that will serve you well whether you play with your right or left hand. The design is thin, smooth and it is very pleasant to play with the mouse. The Razer Viper Ultimate is the mouse that first replaced the Logitech G Pro Wireless, and it’s a great success, and I still use the Viper Ultimate as my main mouse. Of course I like Viper’s ambitious design, and in a way Viper Mini is even better.

The Viper Mini is 13 grams lighter than the already very light Viper Ultimate and weighs only 61 grams. There are very few wild mice that can be compared to each other. If you’ve never played with a lightweight mouse before, it may be hard to understand, but it’s very important for your ability to quickly click and play with the link.

If you’re light, you’ll never go back, and the design of the Viper Mini 61g combined with a virtually weightless Speedflex cable makes it so comfortable to move around. The resistance of the mouse pad is almost zero, and thanks to this lightness you can play much faster than with a normal game mouse.

Light but not cheap

What impressed me most was how Razer managed to make this 61-gram mouse while maintaining the same high quality. Most ultra-light mice look very cheap and fragile, but the Viper Mini doesn’t seem to be any worse than a normal version of the Viper or Ultimate. That’s why the price is so impressive.

The Viper Mini is a big problem.

Performance indicators: Too many explosions for your dollar.

Considering the price of the Viper Mini I didn’t expect too much, but I was pleasantly surprised.

One of the main differences between a normal add-on machine and the Viper Mini is that the Mini does not have an extremely powerful Focus+ sensor. However, the only notable difference between them is that they work at the highest level. Focus+ can work up to 20,000 DPI and 50G, while Viper Mini reaches a maximum of 8,500 DPI and 35G.

Start with point per inch (DPI). You never need 20,000 or anything else in his neighborhood. In fact, you probably never need more than 8,500, no matter what kind of child prodigy you think you are. Having 20,000 IPRs is actually a way for gaming companies to impress people who aren’t familiar with IPRs, and I doubt if anyone reading this will ever go over 5,000 IPRs.

Acceleration is another matter. 50G is exceptional, especially considering the incredible accuracy of Focus+, and it really helps you to play fast and determined, but for most casual players the difference will be imperceptible. The 35G gear is still extremely fast for a mouse in this price range, and that’s enough to play most games at the highest level.

However, if you are a high level Counter-Strike player, I recommend a more expensive option with more acceleration, because at this level of the game, it can make the difference between life and death. However, if you are anything other than a high-end semi-professional FPS player, I doubt if you will feel a real difference.

Strong budget implementation

It may not have a Focus+ sensor, but it is still an incredibly accurate and efficient mouse. He gets most other mice in his price range out of the water, and his 61g design gives him an even greater advantage over the competition.

If you have a limited budget, but want an ambitious mouse that allows you to work at a very high level, I recommend Viper Mini first.

Setting

Like most Razer mice, it’s fully compatible with Razer Synapse, so you can customize your mouse to further enhance your experience. I admit that the Razer Synapse is certainly not my favorite edge software, but it does the job.

It has built-in memory so you can save your personal profile with customizable key assignments, defined RGB lights and sensitivity settings. Viper Mini is also fully compatible with the Razer Chroma, allowing you to adjust the light of the Razer Chroma to the color you want or even synchronize it with other Razer products.

Final reflection

Razer is usually not a brand that makes a product with an incredible price-performance ratio, but Viper Mini is the perfect exception. Very few mice costing less than $40 can compete with them in performance, quality or design.
