Construction of an enemy-proof house in Walheim.
In this tutorial on the House of Valheim, we will make use of the indestructible terrain and other resources available in the game. Without further ado, let’s get started.
Indestructible trees
I suggest finding a swamp or mist biome next to a prairie/prairie biome, so you can build a tree on an empty area and not on other trees. I suggest choosing a tree that can’t be cut down either.
How to do it:
- Swamp, there are two types of trees
- misty trees
Trenches (protection against leeches)
My preference is to create a shallow biome or prairie biome at the edge of the swamp biome. Basically, you dig a trench deep enough that enemies can’t hold it, connect it to a deep part of the swamp biome, and fill it with leeches. These leeches can destroy anything related to other biomes/events that venture into the water.
How to do it:
- Find the perfect spot at the water’s edge.
- It is best to find a location near a small pond or lake and near a wetland biome.
- Start digging the field and go in one direction. Dig until you can start swimming, then continue and repeat the process until the trench is complete.
- Finally, in the middle of the building site, lift and level the ground 1 to 2 times.

The goal is to make the terrain impassable, i.e. to make you float in the water. The method also works on flat terrain, you don’t need water, you can just make an empty ditch.
Runa
It’s an excellent base of operations, pretty easy to set up, just climb up your ladder and at the bottom of the ladder leave a space where you can jump off. Worried about enemies? Don’t worry anymore because they can’t jump.
How to do it:
- Install a horizontal or vertical support beam and begin construction.
Lie down on the floor.
Let’s cheat a little bit, but let’s not really cheat. Sure, it takes a little bit of crap, but not that much. Basically, you’re going to lift the land and put buildings on it to get it off the ground. That means you can’t lose anything. It’s probably the safest, most vivid recording of events you can make.
How to do it:
- Make a search or open the field. Try to find a field that is already high enough (this is important).
- Stabilize.
- Increase one batch to the maximum.
- Start building a house.
- Going down the side of the ladder, place a horizontal support beam on every 3rd step.
- Continue until you have removed one step from the level of your home.
- Build a space and jump, because enemies can’t jump.
