SMITE Season 8 Updates

Here’s all the high-res announced on their SMITE Season 8 show.

New Gods: Gilgamesh and Tiamat

Two new gods arrive in early 2021 in SMITE season 8, and their names are Tiamat and Gilgamesh. Tiamat comes in February and Gilgamesh in April.

With the introduction of Tiamat, the Babylonian pantheon arrives at SMITE. Tiamat is a sovereign who wants to restore the world to his own image, with all the means necessary. According to Dishant Samtani, Game Designer at Hi-Rez, Tiamat is elegant but quickly angry, and these characteristics are clearly visible in her décor. Tiamat can change from an archetypal standing royal wizard to a more ferocious quadruped form. In her flying position she can conjure up monstrous creatures, also known as her children.

Tiamat came to cleanse the earth and recreate it in her image. Witness a fresh start. Witness the dawn of Babylon!

Gilgamesh’s version of SMITE focuses on the turning point he took in mythology. According to conceptual artist Marc-Ross Michaud, Gilgamesh is courageous, self-assured and strong in his pursuit of immortality. The decoration consists of arrows, grappling hooks, notches and magical objects. Gilgamesh is meant to always be on the front line.

These two new gods are not the only exciting changes coming before season 8. As Tiamat tries to change the world in her image, it would be appropriate to consider changing the map, wouldn’t it?

Conquest season 8 Map updates

In conquest mode, SMITE receives a new card for season 8. These are some of the biggest changes, including major artistic improvements and new gateways to the basics. The goal is to make the map look like an old warts field. In general, it is more extensive and leaves room for strategic options in terms of gods and command composition.

Important changes were also made to the jungle trails, including the addition of new lanes for traffic, encounters and combat zones. Scorpio, a new enemy who can spawn in the aisles and hand out unique rewards, also makes his debut.

High-Rez has also announced that the Conquest card is a living card, which means it will change in 2021. These changes will affect many aspects of the appearance and course of the game over time.

The new map changes will be playable this weekend on SMITE’s private test servers. What’s more, even PlayStation and Xbox gamers can play the game.

New game mode

The last big announcement is that there will be a new game mode in SMITE this year: Slash. It contains seating and collision elements and is still in its infancy. More details will follow as Season 8 gets closer to release.

What do you get when you combine victories and confrontations? Slash!

Starter products also have a new upgrade system that allows them to switch to one of two unique late product options. They do not belong to any class, so they can be used with any god.

New models will also be launched for Ares, Bastet and Loki. A complete renovation of Sobek is also planned, including a visual review and a makeover of the effects. Later in the year Janus will also revise the design of the kit to make it more consistent.
