What Are The Archons in Final Fantasy XIV? –

There are several kinds of Archons in Final Fantasy XIV: some of them are evil, some of them are neutral and some of them are good. But who are they exactly? Why are they there? How did they get there? Why are they there? Why are they there? Are they sentient beings? Are they AI? Are they just a computer program? Are they “things”? Are they all-powerful entities? Are they the same as real life government that is supposed to protect us?

The Archons (also known as Eidolons or Aeons) are a race of powerful beings that appear in Final Fantasy XIV. The name of the race in Japanese is 法界霊 (Hōkai Rea). It is a corruption of the Latin word “Aeon,” which means “watcher of the law.” The true name of the Aeons is “Celestials”.

Final Fantasy XIV, or Final Fantasy XIV: A Realm Reborn, is a role playing game developed and published by Square Enix in 2013. The game features a main story arc as well as a number of side quests and other activities, in addition to a large amount of optional content. Much like the previous Final Fantasy MMOs, players in FFXIV have the ability to create a second character, or alts, which may be used to complete these side quests.

In Final Fantasy XIV, the country of Sharlayan bestows the title of “Archon” to powerful magicians. Louisoix (grandfather of Alisae and Alphinaud) and Matoya, the instructor of everyone’s favorite Mi’qote, Y’shtola, are two notable Archons.

Despite the fact that we don’t encounter many Archons throughout our time in the game, one of them in particular has played a pivotal role in Eorzea’s history, acting in direct violation of his homeland’s neutrality policy.

We got a taste of it in the Endwalker cinematic, when Y’shtola had a passionate conversation with a stuffy-looking Elezen, giving a clear image of their mindset.

“So Sharlayan will maintain its advice as the world perishes?”

“It certainly would. We’ll make it through whatever comes our way. We have to.”

Who Is Archon Louisoix & What Did He Do?

XIV is equally as rich in lore as the previous Final Fantasy games, if not more so.

The fact that the game was basically rebuilt in a significant manner after release adds another degree of intricacy to its massive history.

There was a series of events before A Realm Reborn (which would become the foundation of the game we know and love today), which NPCs now refer to as the Calamity.

To put it another way, the new path XIV was going to take needed a massive catastrophe to reset the planet and start again.

Louisoix Leveilleur was an NPC in Final Fantasy XIV’s “legacy” years, before A Realm Reborn.

His people were aware that a huge disaster was approaching Eorzea, yet they refused to act.

Louisoix had a different idea and established the Circle of Knowing, which consisted of twelve academics who would later be known as Archons.

Prior to the release of A Realm Reborn, these Archons were commonplace in XIV, and they remain important characters in the narrative to this day.

This circle, which would ultimately become the Scions of the Seventh Dawn, included Y’shtola, Yda, Papalymo, Thancred, and Urianger.

Louisoix, on the other hand, would not have made it thus far.

Alisae and Alphinaud, his grandkids, will frequently join the player on their travels, carrying on his heritage.

Louisoix died in order to rescue Eorzea and establish A Realm Reborn.

So, to summarize:

The moon shattering freed Bahamut, a dreadwyrm who had been imprisoned for a long time. Bahamut wreaked havoc on Eorzea.

Louisoix turned the survivors of the assault into the primordial Phoenix (see the symbolism there?) and sent them into the future.

Louisoix utilized his newfound power to slay Bahamut, but the dreadwyrm pulled his soul beneath before it could disperse.

Until players entered The Binding Coils of Bahamut raid, Louisoix’s tale would come to a conclusion.

Louisoix makes occasional appearances across the several wings, providing background information about the dragon Bahamut and assisting the party in preventing its revival.

What Had Been Happening To The Other Archons?

The Archons who saved Eorzea continue to play an important role in the current game’s plot.

They laid the groundwork for the Scions of the Seventh Dawn, the organization into which our protagonist is pulled early in the narrative.

Despite the fact that the events of the past several expansions have drastically altered characters like Y’shtola and Thancred, they remain completely committed to Eorzea’s protection.

However, there are more Archons in the tale. After all, it was mainly a title bestowed by Sharlayan on people who excelled in certain fields.

Y’shtola’s tutor and the typical insane old witch of the woods, Master Matoya, is an Archon.

Back in the day, she was considered Louisoix’s adversary.

Is it possible for me to become an Archon?

That’s not the case.

Our Warrior of Light isn’t qualified for that distinction, despite rescuing the planet more times than we can count.

Who needs it in the first place?

If you really want to be an Archon, you’ll have to settle with Under-archon.

This title is earned after completing the level 59 Main Scenario quest “Hour of Departure,” which grants the achievement “Hope Enkindled.”

Aside from that, there’s no way to give your character the title of Archon.

Apparently, we aren’t unique enough.

However, by the time you finish Shadowbringers, you’ll have a hundred more games to choose from.

In Final Fantasy XIV Online (Final Fantasy XIV), there are chocobos, a giant bird that can be ridden and used for transportation. These chocobos are called chocobos, and the player can transform them into all sorts of different forms, but they’ll always be a chocobo. If you’re like me, you might find this confusing. After all, I’ve never ridden a chocobo and I know they’re not actually horses, but are they animals? Are they birds? Are they dogs? Are they cats?.
