Final Fantasy XV has a plethora of weapons and armors, and to tell you the truth, it’s hard to know what is the best. The following is a list of the best armors in the game, and are ranked in order from best to worst. Note that this doesn’t mean it’s the best, it just means it’s the best for me.
In Final Fantasy XV, Noctis’s royal arms are a big part of his character, so we’re ranking them in order of importance to his character development.
Final Fantasy XV is almost out, and the hype will be in full swing soon. The game will be released in just a few weeks, and there is already a lot of information about it available. Many of you probably already know about the Royal Ranged Weapons that are scattered throughout the game’s world, but it can be difficult to find all of them in a short amount of time. In this post, I will rank all of the Royal Ranged Weapons in Final Fantasy XV, and explain why I think you should focus on each one.
The Royal Arms are weapons used by the past thirteen generations of Lucian Kings in Final Fantasy XV.
As he progresses toward becoming the next great king, Noctis acquires various weapons via his adventures. You may equip and utilize these weapons throughout the game, and they’re all strong weapons that deplete your MP and HP constantly. So make good use of them.
But, despite this stumbling block, which are the finest to use?
Let’s take a look at them all and see which ones are worth fighting and which ones should be avoided.
13. The Tall’s Sword
The idea of a chainsaw sword is fantastic.
And that would be in the majority of cases.
But it’s all well in Final Fantasy XV.
It possesses a multi-hit AOE strike that deals a lot of damage and hits a number of times with each swing. However, there are many decreases in elemental resistances.
It’s a weapon that requires a great deal of forethought and is very situational.
The Sword of the Tall shines when used against big foes.
When you’re up up and personal with a mechanical foe or an Iron Giant, the Sword of the Tall shines brightly – but such moments are rare and far between.
12. The Fierce Mace
The Mace of the Fierce is a bludgeoning weapon that can inflict enormous amounts of damage while being the slowest of all the Royal Arms (should the attack connect).
On the ground, it possesses a three-swing combination, but just a single powerful strike in the air. Because of its enormous assault power, the Mace is best utilized for warp striking, not just because it has a far greater probability of breaking opponent components than other weapons.
Two additional distinguishing characteristics of the Mace are:
It’s great for striking the weak spots of big adversaries like Iron Giants, and it has an inherent ballistic defense boost of 50%, making it the ideal weapon to use in clashes with Imperial troops or their robot allies.
It’s possible that the Mace of the Fierce isn’t the most effective melee weapon.
You can’t get much better than this as a tool for both defense and monster component farming.
Bow of the Wise (No. 11)
Here’s a weapon that’s worth taking a look at:
Instead of using strength to determine damage, the Bow of the Clever utilizes the magic stat.
Magic gets a greater boost from accessories than strength. Noctis is very simple to spec into a big magic build.
It’s not difficult to get the power that the Bow needs. Using the weapon, on the other hand, is a whole other matter.
The Bow of the Clever is a ranged weapon exclusively, as you would imagine.
Warp-striking with the Bow has no effect, but instead fires an upward barrage of arrows, which is excellent for destroying large groups of flying enemies.
The Bow of the Clever is most effective when fired from the ground against grounded opponents.
Its arrows may also penetrate through opponents, allowing you to strike several targets with a single shot.
This works best when used in conjunction with items that enhance magic or Ignis’ Overwhelm ability.
Even though it is extremely situational, the bow is an excellent weapon for groups of opponents.
10. The Wise Sword
The Sword of the Wise is your first Royal Arm, giving you a taste of what they can do and how powerful they can be.
It also features a very amazing warp-strike that adds an extra swing and gives Noctis a few more frames of invincible animation.
The Sword of the Wise is the blade for you if you like mobility.
When using this Sword, warp-striking and warping cost no MP. And to get out of the way, several elements of its offensive combination include backflips and rolls.
It’s also useful because the sword is quite strong and has quick strikes, so you can do damage while yet feeling secure since you can avoid things.
9. The Father’s Sword
The Sword of the Father, like the Sword of the Wise, is a quick-swinging weapon that not only does a lot of damage but also has a number of interesting tricks up its sleeve.
The Father-sword is a famous weapon, being one of the most recognizable Royal Arms and one of only two featured throughout cutscenes.
The Father’s combo’s last strike leaves an afterimage that does damage to any opponents foolish enough to touch it, which is very useful when dealing with large groups of adversaries.
In addition, using the sword costs much less MP than wielding other Royal Arms.
The greatest part is that completing a complete combination on an opponent grants Noctis a +200 strength boost for a few seconds, encouraging you to go crazy and stomp on as many foes as possible.
8. The Rogue’s Star
This massive shuriken is a ranged weapon that, unlike the previously mentioned Bow of the Clever, calculates damage based on strength.
The Star is hurled erratically and sweeps across the battlefield, but it fortunately passes past opponents.
This makes it ideal for crowd management and removing obnoxious fluff opponents.
Noctis will spin the weapon and deliver several hits in a devastating grind if you warp-strike a bigger opponent with the Star.
Behemoths, Iron Giants, and Malboros are all good companions for the Star.
If you’re trying to break off a wing or horn, these repeated strikes are ideal.
The Star of the Rogue is an excellent weapon for crowds or as a first strike against a large monster.
Swords of the Wanderer (Swords of the Wanderer) (Swords of the Wander
The Swords of the Wanderer may not have a lot of offensive strength, but they excel in dealing a lot of strikes in a short period of time.
These two small swords swing a lot before merging into one to deliver a last powerful blow.
These swords are for you if you want a never-ending stream of damage.
They’re much superior than most daggers!
You can do a lot of damage if you increase your strength and use Ignis’ Overwhelm.
This weapon is very effective against creatures with a high hit point count, such as the Adamantoise or the Menace Dungeon Iron Giants.
6. The Just’s Shield
In Final Fantasy XV, shields are a specialized weapon.
Noctis can’t utilize them as well as Gladio, and he prefers to use them as bludgeoning weapons rather than as a defensive measure.
The Shield of the Just is no exception, since most shields are best utilized while warp-striking. The’shockwave’ of joining, on the other hand, is considerably bigger.
This is fantastic when you need to fight a big number of thugs, and it’s also excellent for AP farming.
Noctis really holds up the weapon and hides behind it when you hold down the phase button on the Shield of the Just.
Noctis’ MP decreases while he’s hidden, but his HP rapidly restores.
In case of an emergency, you’ll be able to make your own hiding place.
This is the shield for you if you want a solid balance of defense and attack. Thank you very much.
5. The Conqueror’s Axe
This royal axe, like the Mace of the Fierce, is slow to swing and does a lot of damage.
The Axe, on the other hand, is considerably simpler to operate.
With the Axe, dodging and distance are much simpler to manage.
It also boasts a fascinating warp-strike animation, which features an axe attack from above that sneaks past most defenders.
The Axe’s specialty is exposing the enemy’s weaknesses.
With the Axe of the Conqueror, breaking through defenses and creating an opening for the devastating Cross Chain attack is much simpler, particularly if you succeed in several Blindside or Link Strike strikes.
Although the weapon drains more HP than other Royal Arms, the benefits may be well worth the extra cost.
4. The Mystic’s Blade
When you start going through the list one by one, you notice how many of the Royal Arms are swords.
This Blade of the Mystic is another blade, but it sticks out since it is more quicker than the others. It’s also a boost you may use at any time, not just during battle.
The Mystic blade features a multi-hit combination that finishes with a tiny AOE strike, similar to daggers.
Noctis will strike a little stance when you complete your combination, and the weapon will provide you a +100 strength boost for the following ten seconds or so.
And, since they can be done outside of combat, it’s preferable to swing the sword in the air and swap to a better weapon before a fight to get the most out of them.
Multiple hits are dealt via warp-striking as well.
Although there are several swords on the list, this one sticks out.
3. The Oracle’s Trident
The Oracle’s Trident isn’t very noteworthy.
But that doesn’t rule it out.
It’s not always about being a great weapon; sometimes it’s about being a great weapon. Yes, the Trident lacks buffs and bizarre animations, but it does a lot of damage and is easy to wield.
This Trident is fantastic in the air and much better on the ground, and it loves inflicting damage.
While striking, holding forward bypasses the bulk of the attack animation and delivers the last, devastating strike.
This implies you may force your opponents to engage in a sequence of hard strikes.
Cheap? Perhaps, but the damage is very extensive.
Warp-striking also has a really natural feel to it.
2. The Pious’ Scepter
The Scepter of the Pious, being the real wildcard of the Royal Arms deck, utilizes a lot of other Arms as influence in its assaults.
When you swing the Scepter, you may use the Axe, Swords, or Bow as part of it (maybe even more).
The Scepter’s damage is based on the magic stat, making it ideal for those who like the mystic side of battle but don’t want to lose out on the exciting melee combat.
The Scepter itself has a significant magical boost and a high level of dark resistance.
The Scepter of the Pious is an excellent option if you can’t decide which Royal Arm to employ, or if you don’t intend to use them but need something to fill in that final weapon quickslot.
1. The Warrior’s Katana
This weapon is very quick.
Attacking with the Katana will be a flurry of attacks, with a quick-draw strike at the conclusion of each combination that hits groups of opponents while rendering Noctis indestructible.
The Katana excels at inflicting a large amount of damage in a short period of time.
It may also enable Noctis to warp-strike extremely fast and forcefully at the expense of his HP – albeit the cost is usually justified.
Because the Katana has a significant vulnerability to darkness, it is particularly effective against Imperial foes and non-daemonic animals.
Still, the Katana of the Warrior is the blade to use in combat if you want to do a lot of damage in a short period of time (and even receive a bonus to elemental resistance).
Final Fantasy XV finally had an expansion, and it was called Final Fantasy XV: Comrades. Coincidentally, I’m going to rank the Royal Arms that you can get in the expansion, and it’s going to be a whole lot of fun!. Read more about ffxv should i use royal arms and let us know what you think.
