The best horror maps in Rec Room

Narrowed down to the best horror maps in Rec Room (in no particular order), this list has been created from my experience in playing Rec Room and from other players on the Rec Room Hub. I’ve played over 10,000 maps since the very first Rec Room map was released on November 27, 2016, and all of them have been thoroughly enjoyed. As a horror fan, I’ve also found a lot of these maps to be interesting, memorable, and creepy, which is why I wanted to share my favourite maps here.

No one can call Rec Room a haven for horror fans. But if you look hard enough, and beat the game’s level editor enough times, you might be able to find some of the best horror maps on the entire app.

Rec Room is a popular social VR game that allows you to hang out with friends and family in a virtual 2D recreations of popular video games. The games are populated with avatars of all sorts, and if you’re anything like us, you may be worried about scaring your friends. While it’s fun to stress out your friends and have a good old scare, Rec Room is actually a pretty safe place to hang out, but it’s important to know how to avoid unwanted visitors in the first place.

Rec Room is mostly known as a VR game with lots of social interaction and useful gameplay, but every once in a while you need a good scare. Rec Room’s creation tools allow players to create their own rooms and games, and the creators have created a lot of scary games for others to play. Some are just showcases that look like haunted houses, while others require more action from the players. These are just ten horror cards from the arcade, presented in alphabetical order and recommended by us and community members.
