On Disney Investor Day 2020, Lucas Film President Kathleen Kennedy dropped a megatonne of Star Wars news and projects that should interest even the most distant fans. Among them are Patty Jenkins’ horn team (The Miracle Jenkins), the untitled Tyka Whitey (Goal: Ragnarok), six new Star Wars series and the return of Hayden Christensen as Darth Vader in the Obi-Wan Kenobi Ewan McGregor series.
It was such an incredible trip to play Anakin Skywalker, Christensen said in support of the announcement. Of course, Anakin and Obi-Wan didn’t have the best relationship when we last saw them… It will be interesting to see what an extraordinary director like Deborah Chow has prepared for all of us. I look forward to working with Euan again. It’s good to be back.
We’re not sure what the writers have planned, as in Star Wars: Episode IV – New Hope largely implies that the encounter with the Death Star was the first physical encounter between Obi-Wan and Father after their epic battle on Mustafar, but Christensen’s return should certainly be a treat for those of you who have warmed up to their predecessors and don’t mind the actor wearing armor and survival gear again.

Obi-Wan Kenobi comes with a ton of other Star Wars series, including Ahsoka (Ahsoka Tano series live with Rosario Dawson), the New Republic Rangers (Mandalorian Side Effect) and the series on the most beautiful villain in the galaxy Lando Calrissian.
As for Rogue Squadron, Patty Jenkins, director of Wonder Woman in 1984, promised an exciting film about stars and remarked that she had always wanted to make a fascinating film about a fighter pilot.
As the daughter of a great fighter pilot, one of the best memories of my life is seeing my father’s squadron take off in their F4s every morning and hearing and feeling the awesome power and grace, Jenkins said. When he died in the service of this country, a burning desire was awakened in him to one day summarize all these emotions in a big film. When the perfect story emerged, combined with my other great love, the incomparable world of Star Wars, I realized I had finally found my next movie. I am honoured and happy to take on this task and I am grateful to Lucasfilm, Disney and the fans for their help.

Lucasfilm has also confirmed that the new Indiana Jones and Willow films are on their way. James Mangold (Logan, Ford vs. Ferrari) is directed in the first part by Harrison Ford and sees in the second part the return of the great Warwick Davis Willow Uphgood to Disney+.
