FIFA 22 Will Feature Next-Gen HyperMotion Technology, Pre-Orders Live

EA Sports’ FIFA series has always been a hit with football fans—a fact that’s been proven by the more than 48 million copies the game has sold worldwide. The latest entry in the franchise, FIFA 22, has been confirmed to be launching in time for the new season, and it’s going to feature plenty of next-gen features. Not only will the game feature an improved collision system and support for a wider range of ball physics, but it will also have a brand-new game engine that’s one step ahead of the competition.

The year is 2022 and FIFA is getting a major overhaul. EA Sports has announced next-gen hypermotio technology will be fully integrated into the game for the first time in history. The new tech will introduce a new system of player movement, using the force of gravity to perform superhuman feats. Watch the video to see what all the fuss is about.

EA Sports has officially announced and revealed FIFA 22 and it will feature next-gen HyperMotion technology that will allow the game to deliver the most realistic and immersive gameplay experience to date. FIFA 22 will release on October 1, 2021, on PS5, Xbox Series X|S, PC via Origin and Steam, Google Stadia, PS4, and Xbox One. Pre-orders are now open for all platforms.

FIFA 22 will come powered by HyperMotion which will combine advanced 11v11 Match Capture and proprietary machine learning technology to deliver the most realistic, fluid, and responsive football experience for next-gen consoles and Stadia. The game will allow you to unlock the raw emotion, passion, and physicality of the world’s game.

According to EA, HyperMotion technology has allowed the first-ever motion capture of 22 professional footballers playing at high intensity. Additionally, EA’s proprietary machine-learning algorithm learns from more than 8.7 million frames of advanced match capture and then writes new animations in real-time to create organic football movement across a variety of interactions on the pitch. Everything ranging from a shot, pass, or cross is transformed by HyperMotion technology and it determines how players move on and off the ball.

Nick Wlodyka, GM, EA SPORTS FIFA said:

FIFA 22 offers millions of fans around the world a chance to engage with the sport they love in an unprecedented way, Each player experiences FIFA in their own way but on-pitch gameplay is the unifying constant, so we’re excited to offer deep innovation there. HyperMotion elevates that even further on next-gen consoles and Stadia and completely changes the feel of the game.

FIFA 22 also offers deep and innovative features across other parts of gameplay. There are no new modes in the game this time around however improvements have been made all around to existing game modes including Career Mode, VOLTA FOOTBALL, Pro Clubs, and FIFA Ultimate Team. The game features a complete rebuild of the goalkeeper system along with reimagined gameplay in VOLTA FOOTBALL and the introduction of FIFA ULTIMATE Team Heroes.

The game will feature over 17,000+ players over 700+ teams, 90 stadiums, and over 30 leagues, making the latest FIFA title a meaty one. The world’s most iconic events such as the UEFA Champions League, UEFA Europa League, brand-new UEFA Europa Conference League, Premier League, Bundesliga, LaLiga Santander, CONMEBOL Libertadores, and CONMEBOL Sudamericana will also be part of the game where players can take part with their favorite teams.

All pre-orders for FIFA 22 Ultimate Edition will receive an untradeable FUT Heroes player item from December 1, 2021. The Ultimate Edition will also grant players up to four days of Early Access, Dual Entitlement, FIFA Points, and much more. Additional details can be checked out on the pre-order page.
