I’ve been waiting for Madden 22 for a long time, and EA Sports finally announced some ratings for the rookies (my predictions are listed below, so you can see how I fare).
We’re back with another edition of doing our own Madden rating predictions. We are back to a cold start to the season this year, and we won’t have a ton of information about upcoming games to go on. This will likely make things difficult, but we managed to get a few wins in the early going.
The following are my predictions for the Madden 22 rookie ratings.
Image: Electronic ArtsMadden 22 is officially upon us and as the game’s release date approaches, gamers are already gearing up for the big rankings week when EA will announce the rankings for every player and team in the NFL.
The big announcement of the official Madden 22 player and team rankings is currently scheduled for the week of the 26th. July 2021. So, with just over a month to go until the official announcement, it’s time to present our predictions for the official Madden 22 rookie rankings.
Madden 22Rookie Evaluation Predictions
One of the most anticipated openings in Madden is always the rookie ranking. With a list of stars like Trevor Lawrence, Justin Fields, and Zach Wilson (just to name a few), this year’s Madden 22 roster provides even more excitement.
With that in mind, we predicted the 10 rookies we think will have the best rookie rankings in Madden 22 and made our predictions on what their rankings will be in Madden.
- Trevor Lawrence – As the first pick in the draft and one of the best players in history coming out of college, we should expect Lawrence to have the highest ranking in Madden. But knowing Madden, I don’t expect anything priceless, so it will probably be a little less than Andrew Luck’s 83. As a result, we think the Jags’ QB is rated at 82.
- Kyle Pitts – Pitts was one of the biggest talents of 2020 and one of the few TEs selected in the top 5 of the NFL Draft. He has already proven to be a top TE with tremendous potential, so we should expect Pitts to have an 81 rating in Madden.
- Patrick Sewell – Outside of skill position players, Sewell is perhaps the most talented player in the entire draft and one of the scariest offensive linemen we’ve seen in years. Another player with a lot of potential, Sewell should be in the top 80.
- Justin Fields – If you look at the other QB candidates, Justin Fields is probably the most experienced and is in the best position with the best defense and plenty of offensive weapons. Expect Fields to be rewarded with a Madden 78 rating.
- Ja’Marr Chase – Chase is one of the most NFL-ready receivers in this year’s draft, and pairing him with former college teammate Joe Barrow is a recipe for success. Don’t be surprised if Chase scores a 78 in Madden as Barrow’s primary option.
- Zach Wilson – Wilson impressed scouts with his incredible performance at BYU and his outstanding performance during pre-draft workouts. However, he also has some issues and has had less time as a starter compared to other QB prospects. Either way, we should expect Zack Wilson to score a 77 in Madden.
- Trey Lance – Trey Lance stole the show by entering the top 3 of the 2021 NFL Draft, but many still consider him an unknown. Having played just one game for North Dakota State last season, Lance is perhaps one of the lowest rated lottery players in recent years. Expect Lance to get a Madden score of 76.
- Patrick Surtain II – Surtain is the most experienced defender in the squad and has shown he can defend any position on the pitch. However, there are concerns about his changeup speed, but we should still see him at 76th in Madden.
- Jalen Waddle – Waddle has made himself right at home in Miami with his former Alabama QB Tua Tagovailoa. He is already positioned as the team’s No. 1 option and has the natural talent to succeed in the NFL. Waddle should get a Madden rating somewhere around 75.
- Micah Parsons – Parsons was arguably one of the best pass rushers in the NFL Draft and can easily play behind the line of scrimmage (in coverage). We think his diverse skill set and aggressive style of play should earn him a Madden rating of 75.
I’ve made some predictions on the Madden 22 rookie ratings in an earlier post. Now I’m going to make more. I’m going to make a few more predictions on the Madden 22 rookie ratings, and then I’ll go ahead and test them out. I’m going to update a few of my predictions, and then I’ll update my predictions again after the NFL Combine to see how they compare.. Frequently Asked Questions
Who was the highest rated rookie in Madden history?
Despite the fact that this game has been released for two years now, we are still learning new things every week. Last week, we learned that most of the rookies performed unusually well in their Madden ratings, and that the hit rate for starting rookies is above average. We are ready to expand this study to include all rookies, and we are very excited to share our findings with you. The NFL season is nearly over, and fresh off their first-round playoff loss, the New York Giants have been looking like a team on the decline. Their recent slump in the standings has followed a similar downward trajectory to their rookie class’s career ratings in Madden NFL. After finishing 4th in the league in their rookie class, the Giants’ rookies now find themselves ranked 12th in Madden NFL while their overall rating has dipped to 80 overall.
Do rookies get added to Madden?
The Madden 22 rookies ratings are out. I’m going to be honest, I don’t know much about Madden 22. I don’t care about the game. I still have my XBOX 360 and the only reason I have it is because I wanted to play Madden 09. I’m not going to start playing and now that I’ve written this post, I don’t want to. This is why I’m going to explain to you why I don’t care about Madden 22. Picking the right rookies in Madden is always a big debate. Some of the best teams in the league are made up of undrafted free agents. While many of these guys never make it to the NFL, they still provide some solid production. For this year’s version of Madden NFL, I decided to take a look at the rookies and see how they perform in the game.
Will Trevor Lawrence be in Madden 22?
It’s that time of year again when we change our predictions for the Madden NFL 22 update. Madden’s rookie rating system is modeled after the NFL’s combine, which helps to predict which rookies will succeed in the NFL. Our predictions use a weighted formula to determine how likely each rookie is to be a star, and they take into account which positions rookies are most likely to play in the NFL. We expect QBs to perform best, followed by RBs, WRs, and TEs. I’ve been doing this for a while now, and it’s always a toss-up with who’s in, who’s out, and who’s got a better shot than the other. I see a lot of posts on this board every year with predictions, but I put my own numbers together and came to realistic expectations. My projections are based on my own observations of the draft process and my evaluation of the potential quarterbacks.
