Update: 3.1.0 update playable in Fortnite: Battle Royale

Epic Games has released the second update since the third season of Fortnite: Battle Royale. The update adds a brand new location to the map.

Right below Fatal Fields the new point of interest Lucky Landing has been added to the Battle Royale map. The location is a bit like an Asian-tinted town. There are a number of different houses where many chests, ammo boxes and loot can be found. You can also find the shrines that came to Battle Royale in the 2.5.0 update to celebrate the Chinese New Year.

In addition to a new location, a new weapon has been added to Fortnite: Battle Royale. The Hunting Rifle is now available and comes from the Save the World mode in Fortnite. The shotgun is effective on medium to long distance, comes without scope and occurs as Uncommon and Rare. In addition, a Dragonfire Auto-Shotgun is added for the Save The World mode. This shotgun unleashes a wall of fire and damages all zombies in its range.

In addition to the introduction of these weapons, the chances for dropping a number of weapons have also been adjusted:

Burst Assault Rifle

  • Common reduced by 20%
  • Uncommon increased by 60%
  • Rare increased by 150%.

  • Common reduced by 10%
  • Uncommon increased by 33%.
  • Rare increased by 75%.

Tactical Shotgun

  • Uncommon reduced by 10%.
  • Rare increased by 33%.
  • Epic increased by 75%.

Furthermore, the update also included a 60fps mode for PlayStation 4 and Xbox One for Battle Royale.
